An icon of 20th-century design, the two-seater Togo sofa features high-quality dusty blue fabric upholstery. This model, designed by Michel Ducaroy in 1973, redefined the concept of seating, introducing an entirely new aesthetic based on softness and relaxation.
Design and history:
The distinctive feature of the Togo sofa is its entirely polyurethane foam structure. This design, cutting-edge for its time and a result of the new possibilities offered by polyurethane materials in the 1970s, enhances the fluidity of forms and meticulous quilting, giving the sofa a casual and timeless elegance.
The history of Togo is closely linked to Michel Ducaroy's vision, who conceived furniture not only as functional objects but as capable of evoking a sense of warmth and well-being, naturally adapting to the relaxed postures of the human body.
Lot conditions:
The lot for auction consists of a two-seater sofa manufactured by Ligne Roset and is in good used condition:
Comfort: the internal polyurethane foam padding, still intact and robust, retains its original softness, ensuring optimal comfort.
Upholstery: the dusty blue fabric upholstery has been cleaned and sanitized and shows some signs of wear consistent with the age of the piece.
Authenticity: originality is guaranteed by the original Ligne Roset label sewn on the back.
Excellent condition
