The LC2 sofa by Cassina, born from the collaboration between Le Corbusier, Pierre Jeanneret and Charlotte Perriand in 1928, is a timeless icon of modern design. This two-seater model, in its version with a polished chrome steel frame and cognac-colored suede upholstery, perfectly embodies the balance between rationalist aesthetics and functional comfort.
Designed with an external tubular steel frame that encloses the padded cushions, the LC2 expresses the revolutionary idea of a "sitting machine", where form follows function and comfort is at the heart of the project. The separation between frame and upholstery highlights the purity of the lines and the quality of the materials, giving the sofa a sober and timeless elegance. The proposed model is in excellent conservative condition.
The chrome plating is bright and free of obvious marks, the elastic straps maintain their original tension, and the leather is soft and perfectly preserved, without abrasions or discolorations. The base bears the Cassina production mark, an Italian company renowned for re-editing great design classics and certified "100% Made in Italy". This sofa is ideal for domestic or professional spaces where design is the protagonist. Its sculptural presence adapts to both modern environments and more classic contexts, enriching them with a touch of iconic elegance.
