Gae Aulenti

Gae Aulenti (1927-2012) was one of the most authoritative figures in 20th-century Italian design and architecture, capable of combining design rigor with artistic sensibility.

Her work is distinguished by a cultured and structured approach, where each element engages in dialogue with space and history. From industrial design to museum installations, she always maintained strong formal coherence, transforming objects and environments into elegant and timeless experiences.

Her projects for Artemide and architectural interventions such as the transformation of the Musée d'Orsay are iconic, perfect examples of a sophisticated, essential, and profoundly contemporary design language.
