An authentic luminous sculpture of 1970s Italian radical design, this rare floor lamp designed by Pirro Cuniberti for Sirrah represents a perfect balance between technical research, minimal elegance, and an architectural vision of space. A scenographic and sophisticated project, designed not only to illuminate but to define the environment through a light and rigorous presence.
The slender structure in satin-finished steel develops through an ingenious system of telescopic arms that allows for full adjustment in both height and depth. This extraordinary flexibility allows for the light to be modulated with extreme precision, adapting it perfectly to large dining tables, living areas, or open-plan spaces. The telescopic upright also makes it possible to install it in environments with varying heights from 272 to 314 cm.
The long curved arm projects the diffuser into space with surprising lightness, eliminating the visual clutter of the base in the operational area. The disc-shaped lampshade, suspended almost in balance, amplifies the "spatial" aesthetic typical of Cuniberti's design research, transforming a sophisticated technical mechanism into an essential and refined graphic sign.
Despite its significant dimensions, the lamp maintains a slender and discreet profile, a distinctive feature of Cuniberti's work, a master at combining functionality and formal purity.
The item is in excellent condition. The satin-finished steel structure has recently undergone professional cleaning and polishing, maintaining a uniform and bright finish. The telescopic mechanisms and joints are fluid, stable, and perfectly functional, ensuring safety and precision in every configuration. The disc diffuser is in excellent condition, free from significant dents or deep scratches, with the original finish well preserved.
A rare and highly scenographic piece, ideal for collectors and enthusiasts of avant-garde Italian design.
