LC2, one of the most important design icons of the 20th century, designed in 1928 by Le Corbusier, Pierre Jeanneret, and Charlotte Perriand and subsequently produced by Cassina. In this elegant configuration, the armchair combines the classic polished chrome steel frame with sophisticated black leather upholstery, expressing with extraordinary effectiveness the perfect balance between geometric rigor, comfort, and innovation.

Conceived as a true "domestic equipment", the LC2 revolutionizes the traditional concept of an armchair: the load-bearing steel structure, deliberately left exposed, becomes an integral part of the design and encloses the soft upholstered cushions, creating a contrast between structural essentiality and comfort. This design language, inspired by the principles of Rationalism, has made the LC2 one of the most recognizable symbols of the Modern Movement and an essential reference in the history of design.

Condition

The armchair is in excellent overall condition. The chrome-plated steel structure is solid, intact, and retains its original brilliance thanks to a recent cleaning and polishing. The cushions maintain compact and comfortable padding, while the elastic straps are still well tensioned. The black leather upholstery is in excellent condition, with slight signs of use consistent with age; it has also been cleaned, sanitized, and treated with professional products to preserve its softness and finish. Originality is guaranteed by the Cassina identification code stamped on the structure.
